101 Things in 1001 Days

About two weeks ago I came across this goal list on this lady named Tara’s blog. I have no idea how I found this blog. I know it was a link from some website but for the life of me I can’t remember. Anyway, the importance is that Tara created a list of 101 things she wanted to complete in 1001 days.

It intrigued me. How do you come up with a 101 things you want to do? Off the top of my head I could think of 10 maybe 15 things. If I pushed myself and really thought about it, I could come up with 30 max. But this lady had created a list of goals she wanted to complete and actively worked at them over a period of 2 years and roughly 9 months. She completed it. She checked off everything on her list and even decided to do another one.

As I skimmed her list I noticed some goals that I wanted to complete myself. Things that have been on my bucket list but I’ve never gotten around to planning them out. I’ve wanted to go horseback riding, run a 5k, learn French, and a whole slew of other things. She even participated in NaBloPoMo before which was how I found out about it. As I thought about it longer, I remembered more goals that I’d always wanted to do. So I decided to make my own list. Day Zero is the website completely dedicated to to 101 Things so I decided to sign up.

Right now I have 53 things on my list, though I have to go back through because some of them might overlap. There’s no point in having “Learn a Language” and “Learn French” as two goals. My 1001 days runs out on June 28, 2015 so I’ll have to get a move on it. Days can pass very quickly but I truly wonder where I will be—who I will be—when that date roll around.

Come join me in the fun. What would you like to accomplish in 1001 days?
